Why we built it
Everything to plan. Nothing to panic about.
Most wedding checklists are either a wall of two hundred tasks or a thin list that skips the parts people actually get stuck on. Both leave couples wondering what matters right now, and what can safely wait.
ReadyToWeddy is our answer: a complete wedding planning checklist underneath, with a calm personal plan on top that only shows the few things worth doing today. A wedding can involve well over a hundred decisions, but nobody needs to see all of them at once.
We build it as the team behind GuestReel (guest photo and video sharing) and LovelySeating (seating charts), so we see up close how couples plan, where they get stuck and what they wish they had known earlier.

The checklist runs from the first conversations after an engagement to the weeks after the wedding, organized by timeline, by category and by type of wedding. Every task follows the same structure, so it can be scanned in seconds or read in depth:
- Priority: essential (the wedding depends on it), recommended (it reduces risk or stress) or optional (a preference or tradition).
- Timing: an earliest, ideal and latest point instead of one fake deadline. Only a few tasks, like confirming final numbers or returning rentals, have genuinely fixed dates.
- Order: what’s easier to do first, such as estimating your guest count before choosing a venue.
- A short guide: why it matters, a step-by-step checklist you can tick off, tips (including the one thing couples often forget) and helpful questions to ask.
The 26 decisions that shape the rest of the plan, like the budget, guest list and venue, also have a full step-by-step guide. Your personal plan then adapts all of this to your date, your answers and the time you have.

We don’t assume a bride and groom, a religion, a culture or a budget. Every couple can shape the plan to fit.
Honest about what varies.
Marriage licenses, name changes and destination weddings depend on where you marry. We explain what to check and point you to the official authority instead of stating rules that may not apply to you.
No invented numbers.
Timings reflect common practice and typical vendor lead times. We avoid made-up statistics and universal price claims.
Useful without buying anything.
Where we mention our own tools, the checklist stays complete without them.

Every task answers what, when, why and how in a few lines. Decisions that deserve more get a full guide, and we don’t publish thin pages.
