Privacy Policy

• You can read the checklist and guides and tick off tasks without an account. Your personal plan uses a free account so it’s saved and works on any device.
• Anything you enter is saved in your own browser first, so the planner keeps working offline.
• If you sign in, a copy of your plan is stored in your account so it syncs across your devices and with a partner you invite.
• We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t show ads. We do use Google Analytics to see which pages help.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs so the site stays secure and working.

When you create a plan, ReadyToWeddy stores it in your browser’s local storage on the device you’re using. That includes the details you choose to enter: your wedding date or season, your names, answers about your wedding, task statuses, who’s handling each task, your own dates and notes, and any tasks you add.

Without an account, this information is not sent to us. It stays on that device until you clear it, either from the Wedding page (“Clear the plan on this device”) or by clearing your browser’s site data. Because we don’t hold a copy, we can’t recover a plan that has been deleted on your device.

If you create an account, a copy of your plan is stored in our database so you can use it on other devices and share it with your partner. Only you and the people you invite to your plan can read or change it. Your browser keeps its own copy too, so the planner still works offline. You can delete your account, and the plan stored in it, at any time from your account page.

• Technical data. Like almost every website, our hosting and delivery providers, and our analytics tools, automatically process technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver pages, keep the Service secure, diagnose problems and understand which pages are useful.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything you choose to include.
• Account information. If you create an account, we receive your email address and your password, which is stored only in a securely hashed form that no one can read. If you choose Google, we receive the name and profile picture on your Google account instead of a password. We don’t take payments.

Please don’t send us sensitive personal information (for example about health, religion or finances) unless it’s needed to answer your question.

• To provide, maintain and improve the Service;
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
• To reply to your messages, corrections and requests;
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.

The Service uses your browser’s local storage to save your plan, and a service worker to cache pages so the planner keeps working offline. Both stay on your device, and you can remove them at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings.

Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which helps us understand which pages are useful and where the checklist is confusing. These tools set cookies and record technical information such as your approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser, the pages you view and how you arrived. We use this to improve the Service, not to identify you. We don’t run advertising tags, and we don’t sell this data.

Our own analytics. We also record how the site is used in our own database: which pages are opened, which tasks are ticked (the task, never your notes or the names you enter), and the steps you take when creating a plan. This is tied to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your name or email, unless you have an account, in which case it is linked to your account so we can support you. We keep this for 90 days, and deleting your account deletes it.

You can opt out with your browser’s privacy settings, a tracking-blocker extension, or Google’s opt-out add-on. Sending a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal is also respected where the law requires it. Nothing you enter in your plan is sent to analytics.

You can copy a private link from the Wedding page to open your plan on another device, for example your partner’s phone. The plan is placed in the part of the link after the “#”, which browsers don’t send to any server, so the link isn’t stored by us. Anyone who has the link can open a copy of the plan, so only share it with people you trust.

Calendar files (.ics) and printed or saved PDF versions of your plan are also created on your device.

With an account, you can instead invite your partner with a private invite link. Once they sign in and join, you both share one plan and see each other’s changes. Invite links work once and expire after 14 days.

We only share limited information with service providers that help us run the Service, such as:

• Website hosting and content delivery (Vercel);
• Accounts, sign-in and the database that stores synced plans (Supabase);
• Google, for website analytics (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics), and for sign-in if you choose it;
• Email delivery, for password-reset emails and for messages you send us;
• Professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it.

These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us. If ReadyToWeddy is ever involved in a merger or sale, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

The Service links to other websites, including GuestReel and LovelySeating, which are wedding tools made by the same team. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them. We aren’t responsible for the practices of websites we don’t operate.

Depending on where you live, for example under the EU or UK GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your information.

Your plan is under your control on your own device, so you can view, change or delete it there at any time. If you have an account, you can delete it and the plan stored in it from your account page. For anything else, email team@readytoweddy.com. We’ll respond within the time required by the law that applies to you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you have an account, we keep your account and synced plan until you delete your account, or until you leave a shared plan that no one else is using. We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Technical logs are kept by our providers for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

The Service is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we limit who can access the information we hold. No online service can be completely secure, so please keep devices that hold your plan protected.

ReadyToWeddy is intended for adults planning a wedding and isn’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Our providers may process technical information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.

We may update this policy as the Service changes, for example if we add analytics or new features. We’ll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll make the update clear on the site.
